Jodi French is an abstract and impressionistic painter drawn to the seaside, botany, and the natural world. Her work captures small details of nature alongside the atmospheric feeling of a place, more mood than precise detail. Whether painting in the studio in the early morning or out with her easel to catch the changing light, her art is a form of meditation and a way to hold on to a bit of time and place.

She grew up in New England with her Irish Mum, who taught her to slow down and look closely at the beauty around her. They spent their days outdoors, in the woods and by the sea, gathering little treasures. Their home was always full of art, sewing, knitting, crochet, and craft supplies of every kind. Living a creative life has stayed the most important part of who she is.
