Lee Totman is a Western Massachusetts-based artist with a bachelor’s degree in Printmaking. Her recent work delves into fiber arts, reflecting her interest in the gendered and political nuances of this medium. Through her art, Lee explores the experiences of women in the creative realm, both as makers and as subjects. By incorporating materials historically associated with traditional “feminine” domestic tasks, she reclaims handicrafts from the objectifying male gaze, redefining them as valued forms of fine art.
