This painting is inspired by the Brewster Flats. The Brewster Flats is a remarkable phenomenon, yet often unknown to Cape visitors and even residents. At low tide, exposed sand often extends more than a mile from shore, revealing arrays of bars, ripples, pools, and rivers. 
A long-time Brewster resident, Kathy is most inspired by the beauty of Cape Cod Bay when the tide is at its very lowest and the night is creeping in. Always experimenting with new mediums, Kathy's paintings are defined by their texture, and color, as well as their unique take on Cape Cod's coastal imagery.
